The Orthia jacket has been a long time coming. It fills a gap in my wardrobe that I hadn’t even seen until Laura Perkins reached out about creating a cozy jacket. She talked about wanting something soft but with romantic details and the Orthia jacket is the result! Laura named it for the Spartan aspect of the goddess Artemis, Artemis Orthia, who’s shrine hosted some truly gorgeous artifacts.

The Orthia jacket is made in soft organic cotton double gauze that will crinkle up just a little bit when it’s washed. The back features 18th century inspired seam-lines, shifting the shoulder seam back and down at an angle for a lovely fit. There are full gores and a split at the center back allow the jacket to sit elegantly over full skirts. My signature double puff sleeves bring in a little bit more renaissance romance. The foldover collar can be worn high around the neck for warmth or folded down.

Of course it’s got pockets, and a removable belt to keep the jacket closed.

As it’s a wrap style jacket the bust and waist measurements are mostly guidelines for fit. The most important measurements are for the sleeves! I recommend picking a size with a bicep and wrist measurement slightly larger than your body measurement so it’s easy to layer underneath.
