Our favorite Edmonia skirt made in plush cotton velvet.  Nothing is more romantic than this soft velvet. I’ve been hoarding this material for ages waiting for exactly the right set of styles. The Edmonia is the first piece in a set of pieces in this material.  We’ll be releasing the velvet Llangollen vest and the much anticipated Eleonora bodice will be arriving soon. 

I’ve been working on this style for ages and I’m so pleased with the velvet version! It features our signature Victorian style adjustable waistband which closes with hematite buttons. The side seams hide pockets big enough for your necessities. The modesty panel is also velvet and the skirt is lined with a striped poly to keep it from catching on your underlayers.

A full skirt style inspired by sculptor Edmonia Lewis. Her neoclassical work displays an intense romanticism that marked her out during the 1860’S. She was also notably queer!

The skirt measures 35” long with a 2” wide waistband.
