The Bise gown returns. Once again it’s made in midweight hemp and lined in soft cotton lawn. It has full sized pockets to carry all your things. There are long ties at the back for adjusting the fit or wrapping around to tie in the front! The dress closes with 20+ silver buttons up the front and the cuffs with another 8 at each wrist.

The High collar version can be worn as a dress on it’s own or layered over your favorite outfit as a jacket.

The Bise Gown is made in the most gorgeous 100% hemp fabric. The hemp is woven with a longer staple fiber so it washes just like antique handwoven linen. This longer fiber also gives it a longer lifespan! Like a lot of less lightly processed cellulose fibers, the hemp can start life feeling a little bit stiff. As you wash and wear it the material will relax and soften! It’s woven from the fiber in the stalks of plants, much like linen, so it feels very similar. The best thing about this new material is that, apart from it’s longer lifespan as a garment, it takes half as much water to produce as linen materials, and a quarter as much water as cotton! This means it’s much more environmentally friendly!
