The Llangollen vest is named for the Welsh country home of Lady Eleanor Butler and Sarah Posonby. The two lived together for most of their lives and referred to each other as “beloved” in their diaries. The most well known image of the two is from 1828 and depicts them in “mannish” dress.

This style takes its inspiration from Regency era menswear. It’s a style I’ve always loved! This vest is cut a tad shorter than typical menswear style vests so that it hits at the natural waist. Perfect for pairing with a skirt or high waisted trousers. It has welt pockets for your treasures and a panel of lacing at the back to adjust the fit. The Llangollen vest is cut a little bit looser through the waist than my other styles which makes it excellent for menswear looks, the masc inlined, or anyone with a smaller bust to waist ratio.
